Fan of Van Gogh?

saw this one and got a smile... if you're a big fan of van gogh, then getting a cake like this would probably trip you out.

If you ran a bakery near my place, I would buy this! My daughters birthday is coming up, she would want this cake, I would want this cake.It is gorgeous. For those who can't decide on whose haystacks, i suggest a compromise, One more layer, a homage to Gaugain.

If I were a true fancier of van Gogh I think I would be offended by this desecration.

Although as it is, van Gogh wasn't exactly an impressionist anyway. Those haystacks look an awful lot like Monet's; van Gogh's were lumpier, less of a perfect pentagon. Additionally, I wouldn't say that the bottom tier is entirely unlike Monet. It could have been intended. Either way. It's very well done, though, art history aside.

CAt: those do look like haystacks from another impressionist. i'll give them the benefit of the doubt and let those be the haystacks that do appear in V.G.'s work. (evening landscape with rising moon and such) :)
