MEN who visit prostitutes don't have to spend even one dime, at least in Poland, where the hookers actually pay men to have sex with them.

"Of course we pay men," admits hooker Franciszek Ksawery, 24, of Poznan. "Why else would a respectable man want to have sex with a complete stranger?"

The typical Polish john earns an average of 150 Polish Zloty -- or $50 in U.S. currency -- each time he has sex with a prostitute. "That's how I put myself through college and medical school," says Dominik Kazimierz, 37, now a pediatrician in Bilgoraj.

Most of the prostitutes have normal day jobs, such as waitresses -- which gives them the income to pay their johns.

Many of them even have boyfriends or husbands who function as their pimps. "Yes, my husband Ryszard is my pimp," states Teodozja Bronislawa, 22. "And let me tell you something -- if you're a man, you don't want Ryszard to catch you refusing to accept my money -- that will be the last cash you will refuse to accept!"
