Outrageously, despite its enormous profits, ExxonMobil still refuses to invest in developing cleaner, safer energy solutions or to pay the money it owes to fishermen hurt by the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill.
now i'm not a tree huggin hippy socialist by any stretch of the imagination, but i read something about this yesterday and thought it was pretty incredible... it was like deja-foo, since i recall something similar about enormous profits being made by the oil companies this past summer around the Rita/Katrina hurricanes that kicked our ass.
