seems like i keep hearing this Weezer song, "I Want You To", and everytime i do it seems to get stuck in my head... seriously, i've been walking around with this tune going on between the ears for the last three days straight and it's kind of driving me a little crazy -- maybe it's just the way the neural pathways of my brain are configured, but it's fucking catchy.
i don't know about you guys, but i love coming into the office and seeing boxes of fresh Krispy Creme donuts just sitting there waiting for me... yeah, i know it's not exactly healthy, and no, i'm not a cop... nor does it make me feel like one for whatever reason... but c'mon, everybody loves donuts!
especially when my morning breakfast this morning was a smoke and coffee, like most mornings.

they premiered pearl jam's new single on the radio awhile back and every since, seems like i hear it all the damn time now... i've never been a big fan, but even i have to say that their new song sucks -- doesn't even sound like "pearl jam" to me, and i'm one of those guys that gets sick of hearing them all the time... seriously, not an hour goes by where they don't play a pearl jam song that came out over a decade ago. ugh.
on the flipside, i love the new silversun pickups album and have been listening to it quite a lot over the last few weeks or so... sounds great at home when i crank it up, mang.

was pleasantly surprised to get an email earlier about some free music tracks from NIN, which is awesome since i've been a fan for... well shit, ages it feels like... ditto for Janes Addiction.
just head over to the website and enter your email, and they'll send you a quick email with the download link... has a few very nice versions available to download or torrent, which is nice... and 100% DRM free, which is always kickass.... then again, NIN has been doing exactly this sort of thing for awhile now.
listening to it right now and it's sounding pretty tight so far, mang.

i was at starbucks the other day, waiting for my beloved venti mocka latte... and thought it was pretty damned funny to stand there and listen to these two teenage dudes arguing over which band was better -- so in the spirit of things and to perpetuate the heavy metal debate these guys were totally into... if you had to make a choice, such as you just won some free tickets and had to make a choice between which band you'd love to go see, which would you choose: Iron Maiden or Megadeth?
personally, it's really not my kind of music and never has been... but man, sure did fire off a heated arguement over it, that's for sure. *chuckles*
you know i've been a big fan of Radiohead for years and years now... funny that i just seemed to hear about this new DJ mash-up of some vintage radiohead tracks and jay-z today... i know what i'm listening to on my drive home later tonight. heh.

8-Bit Jesus: New Christmas Chip-tune Album
I’ve been working on a new album for the past few months and am releasing a free MP3 download of the first half - sort of a preview, I suppose. The album is entitled 8-Bit Jesus and contains 9 tracks thus far. Each one is a chip-tune version of a classic Christmas song done in the style of a different NES game.

holy shit... can't believe i missed this one.... wow.
i stopped at walmart to pickup a copy of AC/DC's new album, Black Ice, on my way home lastnight and immediately fired it up in the car... have to say, it's the first CD that i've actually bought in ages, and it sounded great with the volumn cranked up.
there's a couple good tracks on it, the kind you hear for the first time and go "damn, that sounded pretty awesome"... i'll probably keep it in heavy rotation for the next week or two... anybody else run over to walmart to pick it up?
speaking of which, first time i've stepped foot in a walmart in quite awhile, too... you always see the most interesting people in there, i swear. *chuckle*
p.s. also heard "chinese democracy" for the first time this morning on the radio.... song started out pretty cool, but seemed to lose me or drop off after that... sure didn't sound like the old Guns and Roses that i remember.
i'm not sure where the hell i saw it... think it was maybe something on amazon or some product blog, but it had this whole big write-up about this "new" artist called Kerli... never heard of her before... but of course what caught my attention was this pic.
apparantly she comes from some small russian estonian town of about 5,000 people... not sure what was in the water, but whatever it was had to be pretty damn good.

just wanted to say that seeing Radiohead play live again last night was fucking awesome.. little over two hours of live music and i was a happy camper -- and no, they didn't play "creep", though i didn't expect them to... would've been a nice surprise, even if they did play a few good older songs which got the crowd all amped up... here's a few uber shitty pic's from my phone -- they're so bad they're good. *chuckles*
it rained the entire day and night, and g'damn was it cold -- i was completely soaked to the bone... for hours... pretty miserable, to be honest... also didn't get home until around 4:30am because of the seriously fucked traffic getting out of that parking lot... sure the floated roads didnt help. *blink*
anywho, great show and it was totally worth it... here's to hoping they come back through again sometime soon.
man, i'm pretty fucking stoked... been trying really hard to keep my excitement level down, but the weekend has finally come and i'll be driving down to go see Radiohead in concert... oh hell yeah, gonna be awesome -- can't. fucking. wait.

first there was that free song from coldplay, and now this.... "The Slip" by Nine Inch Nails -- which is totally badass... i picked up the "Broken" from NIN on blu-ray and just watched that the other day, and it was fucking sweet.
if you're a NIN fan, then i'm sure you're already all over this one... heh.
